Without a Two-Factor Removal Key, if you lose access to your token provider, you'll have to undergo a security freeze. While the security freeze is active, it will prevent you from being paid and impose other restrictions.
How do I generate a Two-Factor Removal Key
If you do not yet have a Two-Factor Removal Key, this task will be listed on your dashboard for you to complete. Click on the link, download your Two-Factor Removal Key, and follow the prompts.
What is the most important thing I need to do once I receive my Two-Factor Removal Key
You need to write the Two-Factor Removal Key down somewhere and store it in a place where you can easily access it. If you lose the Two-Factor Removal Key, you will need to generate a new one.
Why would I need to regenerate a new Two-Factor Removal Key, and how would I do so
You would need to regenerate a new Two-Factor Removal Key if you cannot find your Two-Factor Removal Key.
To regenerate a Two-Factor Removal Key, click on your profile photo (or the silhouette) in the upper right-hand corner of your screen and then select Security.
Scroll down to Two-Factor Removal Key and click on "Regenerate Removal Key" and follow prompts.
